Call Flow Guide
Quick reference for handling calls. Use with Mitchell ProDemand.
Opening Script
Answer: "Mechanic hotline, this is Kyle. What's going on with your car today?"
Get these first:
- Year / Make / Model
- Mileage (approximate)
- When did the problem start?
- Any warning lights on?
Payment Flow (Pay First)
IMPORTANT: Get payment BEFORE giving the full diagnosis.
Step 1: Listen to their problem. Ask clarifying questions.
Step 2: "Based on what you're describing, this sounds like a [type] diagnosis. That's $[amount]. I'm going to text you a payment link."
Step 3: Use payment buttons below → text link → "Let me know when that goes through."
Step 4: Wait for PayPal notification. "Got it, thank you."
Step 5: NOW give them the full diagnosis and recommendations.
End: "If you have follow-up questions in 24 hours, call back free. Thanks for calling!"
Quick Diagnosis Reference
Check Engine Light: Get the code. Look up in Mitchell → TSBs first.
Won't Start: Nothing = dead battery. Clicking = weak battery/starter. Cranks no start = fuel/spark.
Overheating: Check coolant level, fans running, thermostat. Head gasket = white smoke + milky oil.
Noises: Squealing = belt. Grinding brakes = pads to metal. Clicking turns = CV axle. Humming = wheel bearing.
